Electrical Training Academy is proud to offer two Joseph Gregory Fernandez Memorial Scholarships, each valued at $10,000.

The Joseph Gregory Fernandez Memorial Scholarship
Joe was smart, funny, sincere, kind, a generous son and brother, and a loyal friend.
He truly loved the electrical profession and worked hard at every task he was assigned. Joe had an amazing work ethic, was a fast learner and always helped others during his classes and on job-sites. He became a mentor and friend to all he worked with.
Joe's sense of humor and sincerity will be missed by everyone.
Joe was a graduate of Northern Valley Old Tappan High School and attended The University of Rhode Island.
There are two Joseph Gregory Fernandez Memorial Scholarships that are being offered to two Northern Valley Old Tappan students who are able to apply for and be considered for the scholarship valued at $10,000. Students must be interested in pursuing a career as an Electrician, in their senior year and are an ETA applicant. This will go towards each winner's Fall session tuition at ETA. This scholarship is only offered for our Fall session, beginning in September.

Northern Valley Old Tappan graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career as an Electrician, and are also Electrical Training Academy applicants, are able to apply for and be considered for The Joseph Gregory Fernandez Memorial Scholarships.
There will be two winners. Each scholarship offering is valued at $10,000 and will go towards the two winners' tuition for the Fall class session at the Electrical Training Academy. These scholarships are only offered for our Fall session, beginning in September.
Northern Valley Old Tappan graduating seniors who are interested in becoming an Electrician and who are ETA applicants must first submit their information in the Request More Information form, and then return here to submit their scholarship essay below.

Winners will be announced in June 2026 at the NVOT Senior Awards Ceremony
