OUR SUCCESS STORIES
Mike Tchertchian
Electrical Apprentice / Student Teacher
When I graduated from high school I went to college to run Division I Track and Field. I never really knew what I wanted to do for a career and I felt lost, so I eventually dropped out.
I was fortunate enough to start working for a friend’s small construction company and started to fall in love with working a blue collar lifestyle and working with my hands.
As I was working construction, I was thinking about maybe becoming an electrician one day. Coincidentally, I met Jimmie Bodrato. He told me he was going to start this electrical bootcamp school where I can learn the basics and how to wire a home by code. I was all in and signed up shortly after we met with each other. And there I was, the first ever student to sign up for ETA.
Going to ETA was such a great experience and I learned so much from it. I started to work as an electrician right away after graduating, with skills far above my coworkers due to training from ETA. I have been working for two years now as an electrician and have never been happier. ETA has given me so much, and to give back, I became an assistant teacher at ETA. With their help, I have started my journey to getting my license through an apprenticeship program.
Attending ETA was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only did Jim and his team of knowledgeable and patient teachers equip me with the skills needed for success, but they also went above and beyond to mentor me along the way. Thanks to their guidance and support, I was able to secure a job even before graduating. Moreover, Jim personally assisted me in transitioning into the specific sector of the industry I was passionate about, making my career transition seamless and fulfilling.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and knowledge provided by ETA, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to excel.
